US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have now taken in more money than they paid out for nine trading days in a row. The streak totals $3.1 billion in net inflows. Cointelegraph reported the figures on September 30, 2026.
Ether funds went the other way. Spot Ether ETFs had seven straight days of inflows before losing $3 million on Tuesday. That is small next to the Bitcoin total, but it ended their streak.
Zcash funds were the first to turn this week. They posted an $8 million outflow at the start of the week, before the Ether funds did. The report does not say why investors pulled money from the Ether or Zcash products.
What is known is limited to fund flows: Bitcoin ETFs are still taking in money, and Ether and Zcash funds are losing it. What is not known is whether the Ether outflow was a single day or the start of a longer run. The report does not answer that.
For anyone already holding a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, this changes nothing directly. ETF flows are money moving in and out of spot funds. They do not set funding rates, trading fees or order-book depth on perpetual markets. Funding on each exchange is set by the balance of longs and shorts in that exchange's own contract, and this report contains no data on it.
