Binance has started letting users withdraw again after a hack of about $6.3 billion. The first phase covers the Bitcoin network only. The exchange did not say in this report when other networks will follow.
Binance stopped all user withdrawals after the attack, which happened on Thursday. The FBI has said North Korean operatives were behind it. Cointelegraph called it a record hack in its report, published November 1, 2026.
Several things are still unknown. The report does not say how many phases there will be, when they will happen, or whether any of the stolen funds have been recovered. It also does not say whether user balances were affected.
Perp Desk tracks the cost of holding perpetual futures on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC and OKX, and Binance is not one of them. The report says nothing about funding rates, trading fees or liquidity on those four exchanges. For someone already holding a perpetual position there, nothing changes directly based on what is known so far.
