Global Dollar (USDG), the stablecoin issued by Paxos, is now live on Arbitrum. The token is issued natively on Arbitrum One, and with this launch Arbitrum becomes part of the Global Dollar Network. Cointelegraph reported the launch on Oct 6, 2026, based on an announcement shared with the outlet.
The number getting attention is on Arbitrum's side, not Paxos'. The network has proposed 100 million ARB in incentives to help USDG get adopted and build liquidity. The report calls it a proposal. It does not say whether the incentives have been approved or how they would be paid out.
At launch, USDG is integrated with four decentralized finance protocols: Fluid, Morpho, GMX and Maple. The report does not say what each integration covers. It also gives no figure for how much USDG has been issued on Arbitrum so far.
Several things are still unknown: whether the 100 million ARB proposal passes, when any incentives would start, and how much of the $3B in USDG will move onto Arbitrum. The report gives no answer to any of them.
For anyone already holding a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, nothing changes directly. The report does not mention any of these four exchanges, and it says nothing about USDG being listed there or accepted as margin. Funding rates, trading fees and order-book liquidity on those venues are not affected by anything this announcement describes.
