In the seven days through Sept. 27, 23,137 more BTC left Binance than arrived, according to the onchain analytics platform CryptoQuant. Cointelegraph reports this is Binance's highest level of bitcoin outflows since mid-2023. Binance is the largest crypto exchange.
Over a longer period, Binance's bitcoin reserves have fallen by nearly 40,000 BTC since Sept. 20. Over the same period, large holders, often called whales, have been moving stablecoins back into their Binance exchange wallets.
So two things are happening at once: bitcoin is leaving the exchange while stablecoins are coming in. The report does not say why holders withdrew the bitcoin, where it went, or what the deposited stablecoins will be used for. Those questions remain unanswered.
Perp Desk tracks the cost of holding perpetuals on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC and OKX. Binance is not one of those venues. The report contains no information about funding rates, fees or order-book liquidity on any of the four. If you already hold a perpetual position, nothing changes directly: your funding and fees are set by your own exchange, and this data says nothing about them.
