24/7 dollars: Kraken parent signs Singapore Gulf Bank deal

2026-10-05

Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has partnered with Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB). The deal lets some institutional clients settle US dollar transactions at any hour, every day of the week. The news was reported on October 5, 2026.

The service is limited to select institutions in Asia and the Gulf region. Settlement runs through SGB Net, the bank's own network, and is described as instant.

The report does not name the institutions that qualify. It also gives no fees, launch date, transaction limits or expected volumes. It does not say whether the service will reach other clients or regions.

For someone already holding a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, this changes nothing directly. The deal covers dollar settlement between Kraken's parent, a bank and some of its institutional clients. It says nothing about funding rates, trading fees or order-book liquidity on any of the four exchanges this site tracks.
