The register kept by ESMA under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) added nine crypto-asset service providers in its latest update. BingX and YouHodler are among them. So is Openbank, which is owned by Banco Santander. After the update, the register lists 375 unique providers.
Cointelegraph reported the update on Oct 19, 2026. The report we have names only three of the nine firms, so the other six are not known from this source. A later version of the article added a comment from Penning Financial Services, but that comment is not in the text available to Perp Desk.
The new entries include both kinds of firm: BingX and YouHodler are crypto companies, and Openbank is part of a large bank group. The report does not say when each firm was authorised or which services each one is registered for.
For someone already holding a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, nothing changes directly. BingX is not one of the four exchanges Perp Desk measures. The story does not mention those four, and it says nothing about perpetual futures, funding rates, fees or liquidity.
