Bitget has started letting users withdraw Bitcoin again. The exchange was hacked last week, and nearly $388 million in assets were affected.
Other withdrawals are coming back in stages. Ether withdrawals are scheduled for Tuesday, and USDt withdrawals for Wednesday. Cointelegraph reported the schedule on Sep 28, 2026.
The attacker is still moving the stolen crypto through THORChain and swapping ETH there. The report does not say how much has been moved, whether any of it has been recovered, or who is behind the hack.
If you hold a perpetual position on Bitget, the report says nothing about funding rates, trading fees or order-book liquidity, so as far as this report shows, nothing has changed there. The practical difference is in moving funds off the exchange: Bitcoin can be withdrawn now, Ether is scheduled for Tuesday and USDt for Wednesday. Until then, collateral held in ETH or USDt stays on Bitget. The report does not cover Bybit, MEXC or OKX.
