Chainalysis, a company that analyses blockchain activity, says it was the target of a cybersecurity incident. Cointelegraph reported the news on Oct 31, 2026.
According to the company, some customer data was exposed. It names that data as user IDs, names and email addresses, and calls it non-sensitive.
Chainalysis said the incident looks like the ones other platforms have suffered recently. The report does not name those platforms. It also does not say how many customers were affected, who was behind the incident, or when it happened.
For someone already holding a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, this changes nothing directly. Chainalysis is not one of those exchanges, and the report says nothing about funding rates, trading fees or liquidity on any venue.
