NEAR Up 160% in a Month, and Bitwise Just Gave It a US Spot ETF

2026-09-29

Bitwise, a crypto asset manager, has launched the first spot exchange-traded product in the US that tracks the NEAR token. The fund trades on NYSE Arca. Cointelegraph reported the launch on Sep 29, 2026.

The launch comes after NEAR rose more than 160% over the past month. The report also says activity on NEAR Intents is growing. It does not give NEAR's current price.

The fund lets investors get exposure to NEAR through a product listed on a US exchange, without holding the token directly. The report does not give the fund's fees, its assets, or its first-day trading volume. It also does not say whether other issuers plan similar products.

For someone already holding a NEAR perpetual on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, nothing changes directly. The ETF trades on NYSE Arca, not on these exchanges, and the report says nothing about funding rates, trading fees or order-book depth on any of them. Whether the fund affects NEAR funding or liquidity on these venues is not yet known.
