Samsung plans to let eligible Galaxy users in the US send and receive USDC through its Samsung Wallet payment app. Cointelegraph reported on Oct 8, 2026 that the feature is scheduled to arrive in the last week of October.
According to the report, users will be able to send USDC to crypto wallets. They will also be able to move funds to bank accounts in more than 60 countries.
The report does not say which Galaxy devices or users count as eligible. It also gives no transfer fees, no supported blockchain networks and no list of the countries covered. Those details are not yet known.
For anyone already holding a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, this changes nothing directly. The article names none of these exchanges and says nothing about funding rates, trading fees or liquidity on derivatives markets. It is a payments feature for US phone users, and as reported it has no link to the cost of holding a perp.
