THORChain's RUNE token recorded a 15% price increase over a 24-hour window as the protocol resumed trading services across most connected networks. The cross-chain platform had paused swap functionality over the weekend following an Ethereum block reorganization.
The operational halt was triggered by a refund bug that surfaced during the network disruption. While trading on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and several other chains is now operational again, three blockchains remain in a paused state.
The report by Felix Ng and Yohan Yun, published on November 3, 2026, noted that most cross-chain swaps are functional once more. During the same period, major market assets moved mildly, with Bitcoin at $77,364.01 and Ethereum at $2,275.80.
For traders with open perpetual futures positions on RUNE, the restart of swap operations does not directly change funding rates or trading fees on major exchanges. Although restored network access recovers underlying swap liquidity, perpetual holding costs remain dictated by exchange order book demand rather than protocol-level status.
