US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds took in $102.7 million in net inflows on Thursday, the first trading day of October. The day before, Wednesday, the same funds had $148.7 million in net outflows. The figures come from SoSoValue data, as reported by Cointelegraph.
Ether funds moved the other way. They had net outflows for a third trading day in a row. The report does not give the dollar amount of those Ether outflows.
The reversal comes after Bitcoin ETFs had their strongest quarter of 2026, according to the report. The 'Uptober' in the source headline is a name, not data: one day of inflows says nothing about the rest of the month, and the report does not say whether the flows will continue.
If you already hold a perpetual position on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX, this changes nothing directly. ETF flows do not set funding rates, trading fees or order-book depth on those exchanges, and the report has no figures on funding, open interest or perp liquidity. What a position costs to hold still depends on each exchange's funding rate and fees, and that is what this site measures.
