Bitcoin dropped below $76,000 on Thursday, Nov 5, 2026, when US stocks fell quickly at the Wall Street open. TradingView data showed BTC/USD down more than 6% at $75,463 on Bitstamp. That was its lowest price since September and a 7-week low.
The selling hit riskier assets in general. Stocks and Bitcoin had both gained after the US midterm elections, and those gains turned around on Thursday. The report gives no cause for the sell-off beyond the timing at the stock market open.
Other large coins were lower as well. Prices shown with the report included Ether at $2,243.17, XRP at $1.21, Solana at $90.00, BNB at $694.27 and HYPE at $77.58. The report does not say whether the decline continued after these prices were recorded.
For anyone already holding a perpetual position, the report adds nothing directly about funding rates, trading fees or order book liquidity on Bitget, Bybit, MEXC or OKX. It contains no figures for any of them. The only direct effect is the price move itself, which changes the margin balance of any open position. How funding responds on each exchange is not yet known from this story.
